About the Spa

Spa Etiquette

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your appointment. Should you arrive late, your treatment will end on time so that the next client isn't delayed, regardless of how late you start. The environment is one of tranquility and relaxation, so please respect the other guests' right to privacy and quiet. Please set your cell phone to silent upon entering the Spa.

Cezanne Skin Spa strives to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating experience to all our clients. To that end, we ask that all cell phones and other noise-producing devices be silenced prior to entering the spa. As well, we are not equipped to provide childcare during your treatments. In fairness and for the safety of all, please be aware that children will need to be under your observation in your treatment room. Thank you for your cooperation.

Payment Information

Cezanne Skin Spa accepts Visa, MasterCard, personal checks, cash, and gift certificates as payment for our services. However, should your personal check be returned to us, all allowable fees will be collected prior to your next service.

Parking

There is a small parking lot in front of the Spa. If that is full, you may park on El Dorado Way or 54th Street.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

Out of respect for our clients and therapists, Cezanne Skin Spa has a strict cancellation policy. Should you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of your appointment fee. Exceptions will be made for exceptional circumstances.

What to Wear During a Spa Treatment

You will be provided a robe or wrap to wear during your treatment. You may choose to be nude or wear undergarments under your robe, however you are more comfortable. Either way, our practitioners are trained to drape you discreetly and to protect your privacy at all times during your Spa treatment.

Medical Conditions and Allergies

Please notify your therapist when you arrive to your appointments about physical ailments, medical conditions, and allergies. This will allow us to further personalize your treatments. Special conditions may include pregnancy, high blood pressure, and heart conditions. It is extremely important that you be completely honest when answering any questions your therapist may have. Please rest assured that all information will remain confidential.

Pregnancy and Spa Treatments

Many women find that spa treatments are very helpful in relieving some pain and stress from pregnancy. Each of our massage therapists are trained in pre-natal massage. However, during pregnancy, deep tissue massage, mud treatments, and peels should be avoided. Consult your doctor with any other concerns or questions.

Massage FAQ

What should I expect from a massage at Cezanne Skin Spa?

On your first meeting, your massage therapist will have you fill out a "client intake" form with questions about your general health, specific injuries and whether you are under a doctor's care. This is a great time to ask questions of the therapist and discus areas you would like to focus on, as well as sensitive spots on your body which you would prefer to avoid.

The therapist will then give you instructions on how she would like you to lay (face up/down etc.). She will be out of the room while you are changing. Prepare for your massage by removing your jewelry, undressing to your level of comfort, getting under the sheet and settled on the massage table. You will be properly draped throughout the whole massage.

We use music, candles and aromatherapy to assist your relaxation and enhance your massage. You are free to ask the therapist not to use these based on your preference. As well, each therapist likes to use a special oil or lotion. If you have something you like to use on your skin, bring it and they will be happy to use it.

During the massage, communicate with your massage therapist. Remember, massage should never cause you to tense up; if it does, the pressure is too deep. Let your therapist know so the pressure and/or strokes may be adjusted to your level of comfort. You will have a more positive massage experience if you offer feedback to the therapist, who would like to see you leaving the session feeling refreshed.

The client is always in control of the massage! Whether to talk or not, whether to use scent or not, whether your massage should be deeper or lighter. If you are uncomfortable at all, always speak up and be honest with your therapist about your expectations and comfort. However, at any time the massage professional feels threatened or uncomfortable with a situation, she can end the session immediately, and you will be required to pay the entire fee. Massage is strictly professional and conscientious bodywork for relaxation of mind and body.

What should I do after my massage?

Afterward, if you are able and are not facing medical restriction, drink plenty of water to help your body's organs flush the toxins which will have been released and to hydrate your tissues and cells. The therapists may explain self massage techniques you can apply to yourself at home to continue the healing benefits begun by your massage. Allow the effects of the massage to linger. Relax and enjoy the release of stress, soreness and pressure your body has been storing.

Microdermabrasion FAQ

What will a Microderm treatment feel like?

As the Microderm device gently showers your skin with fine corundum crystals, you’ll feel a sensation like a rough washcloth against your skin. This gently exfoliation stimulates the skin to regenerate new cells and form new collagen.

How safe are Microderm treatments?

Microdermabrasion has been in use for more than ten years in Europe and has been chosen as the resurfacing treatment of choice by over 1000 European treatment centers. Corundum crystals, the second hardest mineral known to man, are completely non-invasive and inert. The Microderm device allows your skin care professional to adjust the flow of crystals and to target specific areas for treatment.

How will my skin look after treatment?

The Microderm approach is so subtle and gentle that you can have a lunch-time treatment and then return to work. The crystal residue on your skin could be compared to the sand you might feel after a day at the beach.

What kind of follow–up does the Microderm treatment involve?

It is important to stay out of the sun and use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 from your first Microderm treatment until a week after your last treatment. To compliment your results, ask your skin care professional to recommend the more appropriate skin care products for your skin.

How many treatments will I need?

The average length of treatment is six to ten treatments. The treatment results can vary; for this reason, some individuals may need a longer series to achieve their desired results. For the optimal results, it is ideal to have a treatment once every seven to twelve days. After you’ve completed your series of treatments, you’ll want to come back once every month or two tot maintain the wonderful results you’ve achieved.
